Title
Interference metod snižování emisí škodlivých látek
Code
SP2019/116
Summary
The subject of the research of this project is the solution of two research activities, whose common characteristic is the connection with combustion and gasification processes. Research Activity 1: Requirements for reducing emissions from combustion of fossil fuels are provided by the installation and operation of technologies using primarily solutions and sorbents reducing, capturing and thus reducing the monitored emission components to the required emission limit values for the given combustion plants. Since 2021, these limits have been further reduced and the monitored list of emission components has been expanded. These include new mercury. Within the project, measurements will be carried out in the laboratory and at the real source, where the influence of the applied technology on the quality and accuracy of the Hg continuous emission measurement methodology will be monitored. During the experiments, students will perform tests of selected instruments in use, technology for reducing SO2 (DeSOx), and technology for reducing NOx (DeNOx) and various sorbents to reduce conc. Hg in emissions. During the project, due to VEC instrumentation, it will be possible to monitor on-line changes in the gas composition both before and after the tested technology and using certain techniques the potential effect of high SO2 concentration and ammonia slip on KME Hg. Research Activity 2: The subject of the second activity will be a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the gas composition of gasification technology using portable analysis instruments (Pollutek Syngas Analyzer 3000p, FTIR spectrometer), and the influence of possible interfering gas components on the quality of analysis will be monitored. Objectives: • Interference of methods of reducing emissions of unwanted substances contained in synthesis gas • Determination of gas composition from gasification and after passing through a set of cleaning devices for separation of solid pollutants and tars contained in synthesis gas • Identification of pollutants contained in the synthesis gas • Evaluation of the efficiency of the gas purification apparatus, comparison of the synthesis gas quality before and after the purification section
